My son actually laughs while drilling these cards—the sound-play hooks are so much more effective than the plain word lists he used before. He’s remembered words from our last three sessions without me prompting, which never happened with his old prep book.
Bought these for my 13-year-old before the PSAT and the humor actually got him to flip through them without me nagging. The sound-play mnemonics stick better than the plain word lists we tried before. Only wish the box had a few more cards per level.
The word-association visuals are clever enough that I find myself remembering the words days later, which is the whole point for my 14-year-old. Only wish the cards came with a ring or box to keep them organized once the pack gets shuffled around.
